Job Summary:
Director of Product approves and communicates product strategy, mission, vision and roadmap, while also creating and communicating portfolio strategy, mission, vision and roadmap; approves and communicates product backlogs; manages, refines and communicates the backlog of the entire portfolio; manages product leaders and collaborates with the Product Team, the Committee (WHY), and Marketing; DoP is responsible for contacts and with top stakeholders on the product and portfolio levels and collecting feedback; possess deep knowledge of market, competitors and users needs.
Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership for the product area within organization
• Define the product area vision and mission
• Define the product area roadmaps, define the product area requirements, and prioritize feature development
• Ensure that the products area goals align with the overall business goals and company strategy
• Share the product area vision and strategy with diverse stakeholders, regularly report on development progress, and keep stakeholders informed of the product organization's strategy
• Set appropriate metrics for the product solution area, in conjunction with iQor leadership and other executive project sponsors.
• Directly manage work stream leads, both technical and business, to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
• Responsible for commitments to quality products and timely delivery that meets expectations of cross-functional customers and executive sponsors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, marketing, and sales to ensure the successful execution of the product area initiatives
• Conduct research activities to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitors to guide product development
• Foster a culture of innovation, analyze the market and competition, and introduce emerging technologies and robust capabilities to the products suite
• Maintain a personal and team focus on activities that drive business value generation.
• Stays informed about industry trends, research findings, and evaluation methods
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company policy
• Performs other duties as assigned
Skills Requirements:
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree, First Degree, Trade/Vocational School certificate or Equivalent required. Degree in business, computer science or other related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally exert up to 10 lbs. of force to push, pull, lift or otherwise move objects. Have visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data; and/or viewing a computer terminal. Type and/or sit for extended periods of time.
